Cream Cheese King Crab Spread Dip

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup (1/2 lb) King Crab meat, shredded
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1/4 cup Celery, finely chopped
  • 1 Tbsp Lime Juice
  • 2 tsp Pickapeppa Sauce
  • 1 clove chopped Garlic
  • 1/8 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper

Method :

Beat the cream cheese and milk together. Add the rest of the ingredients. Blend well. Gently fold in the crab meat. Serve chilled with buttered toast triangles or an imaginative concoction of multi-layered cracker treats. Makes 1 ½ cups.

Marinated Alaska King Crab Claws

Ingredients:
  • 24 cooked Alaska King Crab Claws
  • 1 1/2 cups Olive Oil
  • 6 Tbsp white wine Vinegar
  • 1 Lime, juiced
  • 2 cloves minced Garlic
  • 1/2 Tbsp Tabasco
  • 2 tsp fresh Oregano
  • 2 tsp fresh Basil
  • 2 tsp fresh chopped Parsley
  • 1 tsp fresh Oregano
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp dried Dill
Preparation Method :

To prepare the marinade, combine the ingredients and stir until blended. To marinate the crab claws, place the crab claws in the bottom of a shallow dish. Cover with the marinade, cover and refrigerate overnight. To serve the crab claws, drain and reserve the marinade. Arrange the crab claws on a serving plate. Serve the marinade as a dipping sauce for the claws.

Crabs

Crabs are animals that live mainly in the sea. Crabs are Most crabs are omnivores. A crab's body has a head, thorax, and abdomen. The hard shell covering the head and thorax is called a carapace. They have five pairs of legs. The chelipeds (two front legs) each have a powerful pincer. The other legs are smaller.

How to make Crab cakes

Ingredients:
  • 8 oz Crab Meat, drained and flaked
  • 5 Tbsp Butter, divided
  • 1/4 cup Onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup Celery, chopped
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced
  • 1 1/4 cups seasoned Bread Crumbs
  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 Egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice
  • 1/8 tsp Ground Pepper
Preparation method :

In large skillet heat 1 tablespoon of butter. Add chopped onion, celery, and garlic. Cook over medium heat for 3 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally. Remove skillet from heat and let cool. Stir in crab meat, 3/4 cup bread crumbs, mayonnaise, egg, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and pepper. Shape crab meat mixture into 4 patties; coat with remaining 1/2 cup bread crumbs, pressing crumbs onto each patty. In same large skillet over medium heat, melt remaining 4 tablespoons butter. Cook crab cakes in butter 8 to 9 minutes or until golden brown on both sides. Serve with your favorite sauce.
